ESET will continue to protect your Windows 10 PCs from viruses, ransomware, phishing, and other online threats, even after Microsoft ends support.

However, starting October 14, 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide security patches for newly discovered vulnerabilities (Microsoft End of Support Notice).

While ESET can effectively block many threats, it cannot resolve inherent flaws in the Windows operating system itself, so the overall security risk will gradually increase over time.

For the best protection, ESET recommends upgrading to a supported version of Windows after October 14, 2025.

In the ESET link below, if you scroll to the bottom, you’ll find a section titled “What should I do?” that outlines guidance for all possible scenarios.
