I've received a response from the ESET team. Please see the information below:
"Thanks for the feedback.
On short, vulnerabilities reported in the ESET Protect console cannot be removed manually. This behavior is intentional and designed to preserve the integrity of vulnerability reporting by preventing detected vulnerabilities from being manually deleted or suppressed. As a result, the console continues to provide an accurate representation of the security posture across your managed endpoints.
Once the affected application has been updated to a version that addresses the vulnerability, or the appropriate security patch has been applied, the vulnerability will be cleared automatically after the endpoint performs its next vulnerability assessment and synchronizes the updated information with the ESET PROTECT console. This process is automatic and may take around 2 months, depending on the vulnerability scan and synchronization cycle.
Please note that the detection of a vulnerability does not necessarily indicate that a corresponding security patch is already available. ESET identifies known vulnerabilities based on the software version installed on the endpoint; however, the availability of a remediation depends on the software vendor. If the vendor has not yet released a security update, the vulnerability will continue to be reported until a supported fix becomes available and is applied.
Our recommendation is to focus on applying all available security patches and keeping both the operating system and third-party applications up to date. Maintaining a consistent patch management process is the most effective approach to reducing your overall vulnerability exposure and ensuring that reported vulnerabilities are automatically resolved once remediation has been completed.
Please let me know if I have missed any of your questions or if you require any further clarification. -ESET Team"
