Issue

• You receive the notification "A new version of ESET Smart Security/ESET NOD32 Antivirus is available" from your ESET product

• A new version of ESET Smart Security/ESET NOD32 Antivirus has been released and you want to upgrade

Solution

1. Open Your ESET product. How do I open my ESET product?
   
2.  Click Update  Check for updates. 
3. Your ESET product version will be displayed and you will be notified if a newer version is available. Click Install.

4. The latest version will automatically be downloaded and installed.

5. Once you receive the notification "The program modules have been updated," restart your computer. If you experience issues or installation errors, see the Troubleshooting section below

Version 4.x or earlier

1. Click the link below that corresponds to your ESET product to download ESET live installer. Save the file to your desktop.

2. Uninstall your current ESET product:
   1. Click Start  All Programs ESET  Uninstall.
   2. Once uninstallation is complete, restart your computer.
       
3. Double-click the file that you downloaded in step 1 and follow the on-screen instructions to install the latest version of your product.
