The examples in sections I and II demonstrate how to create a rule to allow all online communications for iTunes or deny all online communications for iTunes. Creating these two rules in an actual network environment would cause them to cancel each other out.
I.Create a rule to allow an application
- Open ESET Cyber Security Pro.How do I open my ESET product?
- ClickSetup
Firewalland then clickSetup.

To create a rule to always allow the application, selectTCP & UDPfrom theProtocoldrop-down menu, selectBothfrom thePortsdrop-down menu and then selectAllfrom theLocal PortandRemotePortdrop-down menus. You can achieve more custom rules using different combinations of theProtocolandPortsettings. Once you are finished, clickNext.

- In theDestinationwindowyou can define whether your rule applies for the entire Internet, for your local network, for a specific subnet or for a specific IP address or range of IP addresses. SelectEntire Internetto create a rule to always allow the application. ClickFinishwhen you are done making changes to create your new rule, and then close theFirewallwindow to return to the main program window.
